I am asking you to look at these Three

The idea of sharing through a blog has invigorated my eyes
I have begun to focus on Light.

I hope, (really hope) that I can make images that share imagination.

So, three images here and we will see where the Blog goes.

I just wanted to clear the air (vision)......

The Midwest to New England

In Chicago, late August
What can one say, HE is everywhere.

Jerri's Foot
She and Alan went downtown to the Chicago Cultural Center to see about scheduling their "Following The Box" exhibition. Looking possible.

I met with a former student, Art Carrillo, who specializes in
Environmental Portraiture.

He took me to Nuevo Leon, a real Mexican restaurant
The light, the food, the noise were all great.

951 miles later.... New England
Grandson Collin takes coaching "Pewee" football seriously. A fun Sunday afternoon.
Then he goes home and plays Fantasy Football just as seriously.

I visited my friend Dennis Grady at Dartmouth College.
He designs and installs exhibits for "Education and Outreach."

I went to Plum Island Beach in Newburyport with Kara, Louise, and Webster.
First exploring and then
Digging

We went to a favorite restaurant where Louise had her favorite,
"The Lighthouse Special"

I close today with an image I really like, though I would guess you wonder why.
You are looking at an end on view of a Fenn Machine.
The drawing was done to explain to me what had to be done to repair it.
What I saw was a Native American drawing.
Something with spiritual import.

Friday, Sept 18th
Getting things started, getting things organized

As I have before, I am responding to a few friends who requested I repeat my original impetus to create a blog of my travels.
So here goes. Enjoy and drift in and out as images and words bring pleasure.

I'll start by sharing a few images from when I was getting ready and got on the road, and then meadner on.

Sorting slides for the lectures

My friend Mark in VW continues to use metal to express his imagination

I visited my brother Ken and his wife Jane at their new home in Oberlin, OH.
They took me to an interesting gallery. A woman makes portraits and other images from tree bark.

Tess always uses her mother's (Ali) phone and doesn't want to give it up.

This is her sister Emma. I saw this and started a new series, "After Vermeer".

My friend Steve in Crown Point likes to make portraits of me
This is called decompressing.

I responded by pretending he was modeling for a "Camels" shoot
We forgot the boots. Keds dosen't cut it.

He went a little further using one of the slides from my lectures to be.
